okies.. now i'll tok bout instructors.. down there theres a only female instructor.. callsign "rainbow" cos her name is cai hong.. haha. shes de first female pilot in rsaf.. n how she got herself in was that she wrote into ministry of defence itself. haha. n shes a transport pilot.. previously c130. shes a quite a nag.. n likes to say "fart".. hee.. maj gabriel.. is our course commander.. hes a nice guy n can be quite truthful to us. one thg is he doesnt hav much power.. n his decisions doesnt always seem rite wif our head of agc. head of agc is well of cos maj kullar, callsign jolly.. which happens to be my instructor.. hes de boss n hes strict no doubt.. n he never gives face in his words.. he says watever he likes n dun rly care how u feel. he can scold vulgar in a well gentlemen way.. meaning not in a shouting tone. theres maj neo who shares his experience as a pilot with us.. he gave a very truthful n sad view about pilots.. how they spend half their lives abroad.. maj ralph.. is de most fierce instructor it seems.. not really gd comments bout him.. but hes quite a eurasian. his son is like an aussie beng.. den theres maj ong kp which callsign is kingpin. hes quite a gd bowler by his callsign.. got his own ball n everythg.. but he is old n has his own way of teaching.. but it seems like he is nice when he is a tester. haha. maj liew kp is de deputy of agc. i found him abit unreasonable at first.. where he wants ans back like "almost instinctive".. we are so new how can expect tt? den he likes to questions n gives pressure to ppl.. his students all v stress but they managed to pass lor.. well they are gd themselves la.. after a sortie with him.. i find tt he is actually v hardworking n meticulous.. he wrote down every action i do when i fly.. thus giving v gd debrief.. his preflight brief is hard.. n its like a test.. but actually quite challenging n fun.. if u managed to ans his qtns tt is. heee.. together these instructors have like over 300 yrs of experience..duh.. they can fly like using one hand.. dun use instruments.. well jus with ease la.. they r gd.. but its no doubt cos they flew wif de plane so frequently.. at least 2 hrs per day.. lol.. taking care of admin is warrant sulinder. hes a nice singh.. cos most singhs are like.. fierce. haha. hes so soft.. and he nv gets angry..
theres alot to study actually.. cos there are alot of notes.. but most of de time all we can do is mental fly.. which is gg through the procedures.. theres also a poster of de instruments for us.. n we use it to visualise lor.. but honestly theres onli to an extent to which mental fly can help.. thgs are different when they move.. yea.. so tho on de ground i noe wat to do an all.. but in the air u wan to achieve sth is not tt easy.. most of the time ppl will chase instruments but then hey we chase cos we dunno ma.. we cant feel de plane as well wat.. if we look out all de time.. im sure we cant obtain de correct settings.. haii.. wateva its jus not easy. on the ground.. my taxy oso not v gd.. its not like riding bicycle.. or driving.. or go kart.. de pedals are like quite stiff n heavy n not efficient at all.. den de brakes is ju on top of de pedals n i find it quite hard to reach without touching de pedals n lifting my leg.... when doing a v steep turn i seem to hav some problems most of the time.another thg which failed me is cos of area familiarisation.. we are to identify places by looking down on de ground.. altho i didnt fly out of training area n stuff.. but i didnt get the exact pts to do certain thgs rite.. well.. ive always agar agar.. n kullar nv rly taught me how to identify those stuff.. ahh.. sux. its quite hard to find the buildings too.. cos in the air everythg to tiny from above.. n de plane keeps moving wat.. from far cant see.. too near later rite below us oso dunno.. n hard to see on the furthur side on de right.. de horizon sometimes also quite of a problem cos it gets misty sometimes.. n there can be clouds and all which we should not climb into and should avoid them.. de weather gets hot in de aftn and we sweat like hell too.. sometimes theres alot of turbulences which makes it hard to control de plane.. even to fly straight n level.. oh well.. many factors to be involved.. one of de harder part is to do circuits.. turning n climbing n descending at certain settings n meet certain criterias.. gotta be damn fast even with de checks.. my checks are quite ok.. at least can say without really pausing for a moment. not bad la.. when i started not knowing n understanding wat they mean even.
well.. too bad cant get into phase 2 which includes aerobatics..

i like doing them lor.. especially experiencing de Gs and all.. haha.. kullar likes it.. so do i. haha. mayb next time.. or get any of my friends who passed to take me next time.. lol.
