alrite.. here i am.. now now.. where do i start?
for how long did i not blog? haha
anyway.. lets start wif de events that happened when i was in army
ok.. im sure u noe after a week or so i already admitted to hospital.. lol.. anyway.. its nth serious.. its jus tt my temperature cant go down.. n oh ya.. recently i received de letter from CGH.. kaoz.. they demand $65 from me jus for some blood test i think.. perhaps no.. plus quite a few paracetemol as free gifts.. -_- hmm.. it sux being in de sick bay at tt time.. but anyway.. great experience.. since not many ppl got the chance to go there.. haha.. n oh.. we can realize tt medic is a job for de malays.. hee..
next.. shall i tok bout field camp?? hmm.. it lasts 5 days.. i cant remem clearly.. but most of the time.. it was raining! tt sux u noe.. cos its so muddy n all.. for the first 2 nites we were probably somewhere near de coast.. but we never got the chance to get near it.. haha.. our tents were built at the foot of a hill.. n most of our lessons were held on top of the hill.. n thuws.. climbing up de hill is a chore.. anyway.. it kept raining while we were there.. we practice our normal Individual FieldCraft there.. like camouflaging n such.. hmm..it was de first time we ate combat rations too.. those green nasty little packets thats filled wif disgustingly slimy stuffs.. if u cnat beleive we ate it.. well.. we did.. for some of cos didnt.. i had a platoon mate tat lasted wif a packet of biscuit for each mea.. :O well.. i ate.. i took those not nice de earlier on.. but hhaa.. i dun find tt it taste bad.. but still edible i would say.. haha.. my fave would b lor mai kai..! it rox k.. its one of de nicest food in thos green packs.. but no.. not everyone enjoys that.. we have like cabbage rice n pongtay rice which is rated as the most "wonderful" meals u can get.*.* my platoon v creative even created a song wif the "12 days of xmas" tune but changed the lyrics to that of those field ration food.. haha.. but usually.. the accesory pack.. filled wif biscuits..fruit bars.. n drinks.. n such.. were quite good. especially de new one.. got ribena.. milo.. even nescafe n tuna cans! wow.. we r like picnic.. but of cos.. this luxury items are like limited edition n there are v few around. my tent buddy is sorta crazy over packet stuffs. he took like 10 packets of those drinks.. (those 3in1 mix and needs to b added wif water).. crazy!! he picked up from de ground de he oso go take n drink.. haha.. he sure like sweet stuffs!.. oh.. n pocari sweat tastes real good.. but its v unlikely that i find it anywhere in de market outside.. ok.. enuf bout food. now.. field camp we oso did our so called tactical movement. yep.. we crawl n we prone n we jump.. n we go on high alert.. n we hide.. shitty.. it wasnt v fun.. cos especially when theres sniper drill.. ( where u have to go carry de "injured") its v tiring... den normal drill movements were practiced over n over again.. if u r suay enuff.. u may land up having ur rifle pointing to a termite nest beside a tree.. lol.. n u really are face to face wif de nest. haha.. quite slack actually.. as we get to rest as some of them go practice meanwhile.. hmm.. then we oso got the chance to pitch tents at de oilpalm plantation.. it looks quite abit like malaysia.. really. hah. the weather down there.. were fantastic.. cos it didnt rain! yea.. finally.. n at night.. was so nice.. theres like numerous stars.. n de moon is super bright.. i can read words n books under de moonlight! wow.. n we oso had a night walk.. not at all scary.. cos its tooooo bright i would say.. thanks to de moon. haha. n its the first time i saw firefly too.. theres like onli 1 or 2 around.. eww.. but they say if u found it means there phosphorus around.. which means.. decomposing stuffs! eww.. there might be a dead thg rite beside us.. haha.. but theres nth la.. oh.. i forgot to mention.. theres this powder bath.. we can bath u see.. so we use prickly heat powder.. put alot alot everywhere.. private part n face n anywwhere else.. haha.. literally we were white.. yea.. n we had to ease spring.. haha.. which is pull our underwear n let go.. n pufff.. all de powder will smoke out from our body.. haha.. n its real cooling after that bath.. kinda similar to water bathing lor.. at that time there was de movie memoirs of a geisha.. haha.. we really looked like geisha siaz... okiez.. now i should tok bout trench digging.. yucks i hate that day.. we spent the whole day at de reclaim land.. digging our shell scrape.. its roughly knee deep.. n its shaped like a coffin.. we were supposed to dig de hard ground using our small hoes.. or they call it de ET plate n sticks. usually.. after pitching our tents we had to build a canal system to drain off de water.. digging that small channel is already v tiring.. imagine digging our own coffin hole! eww.. we spent like hours digging it.. n omg.. it rained half way.. arrrhh.. its cold n tiring n we had to continue digging it. once we finished.. there was still de trench digging.. we were supposed to dig a hole length of bout 10m by 5m n when we go in.. de ground should b at our chest level.. arh..such a big hole huh? finish digging liao still need to cover up the whole we some planks n concealment.. shitty de lor.. its really tiring doing that.. raining sumore.. den will cause landslide in de hole lor.. song ah.. n we were supposed to not allowed to sleep n do duty n keepwatch by lying down at our own coffin.. but that nite rained like siao.. we cant.. so we went to a training shed. one whole company squeeze inside a small training shed.. its like keeping 200 goldfish in a small tank. its v squeezy n we had to like sit down or lie on each other that nite to sleep.. haha. so gay rite.. some ppl were smelling each others feet.. lying on each others thg. hand touching other ppls backside.. etc.. lol.. anyway.. its actually quite fun.. cos de guy beside me is seriously snoring too loudly.. we covered his face wif a dirty sock.. but he still kept snoring.. so piggish.. yucks.. worse still.. his face is like those si wen type.. wah lao.. ren bu ke mao xiang. hmm.. tt nite was how we spotted gary.. de AJ gary.. he went bonkers.. n sang loudly like 3 or 4 am. he woke like almost everyone up.. n he started toking nonsesne n pee on rifles etc.. i dunno wtf happened to him la.. but he v poor thg.. let me finish toking bout field camp then i tok bout him. hmm.. de next day was the last day le i think.. n then we had to do our BIC.. battle innoculation course.. leopard crawl n back crawl through those wires.. climb walls.. etc.. hmm.. quite tiring.. but then that day was raining again.. haha.. so we had puddles of water on de ground.. we felt like swimming n it was quitefun actually.. altho abit tiring.. haha.. n thats like de last activity of our field camp.. haha.. the most memorable thg in field camp i think is those nites that rained.. n we had a hard time trying to sleep. ahha.. some of my platoon mates tent were flooded.. poor water system u see.. water clogged n flooded them.. hah.. so they were totally wet throughout the nite.. n they had to shift places to pitch tent.. hmm.. poor thg.. me oso had a hard time.. cos it was really v cold... i wasnt even able to come out of the tent for v long.. n cant change clothes properly while i was in de tent.. my boots were wet n more feet were soaked until it formed a maze under my feet.. n it was real pain walking around likdat.. thgs were better as i went to a dry place the next day.. n i air my feet dry.. haha.. so u can see.. field camp is nth but plain DIRTY! we were soooo muddy sia.
okie.. let me tok bout gary.. i dunno when he went bonkers.. n i dunno how.. i heard that he was actually a normal tech student that entered AJ arts stream.. yea.. n recently while he in camp.. his dad passed away i think.. so i think his condition not v stable.. n somethg must have strucked him.. he went crazy n was admitted to IMH.. he tried to put on his sergeants SBO helmet etc.. n tried to book out.. i mean.. he is nuts.. he was caught then send to IMH lor.. his sis called one day to say his condition unstable.. he would hide under de bed once he heard anythg related to army.. yea.. n so our sergeant major went to burn incense in his bunk.. den almost immediately. his condition stabalised.. eww.. ghost!
according to rumours.. our storemen saw a figure of a kid playing ball in the bunk! ARGH! how can there be kids around??? n worse still.. Pegasus company.. de one that lives next block to us.. saw that the level 4 bunk room lights were all on.. the whole level.. de thg is.. we were out at camp!!!! arhh!.. whoses there?>?? i dunno.. thats like some of de weird thgs i think.. n we cant bring pork in to tekong not cos of muslims.. but cos it somehow attracts hantus.. hmmm....
okiez.. after field camp theres live range n then situational test. hmm.. Live range should guns lor.. we spent 2 whole days down there at the range.. most of the time waiting.. n the stupid rifle always cock up.. alot of IAs.. which is it never fire off properly.. n we had to remedy it.. night range sux a bit.. cos its kinda unfair.. some ppls LED is so bright.. while others so dim.. then cant see where the target.. of cos shoot bird la.. nth much bout range..
SIT test.. its actually to test ur ability to lead and etc..we r not v sure bout the results.. it consists of several missions.. n were were supposed to complete them as we planned how within a group of bout 12 ppl.. hmm.. some of them were carrying law guns.. ( a v big gun like a bazooka or those that shoot small size missiles lidata kinda thg) ya.. then saw carry medic packs.. with the stretcher.. some got the demolish pack.. set bombs.. got clay mines n miners.. then we got navigator n signallor who carries a set of like radar system sorta thg.. ya.. okie.. we learn how to tie knots n we used them accordingly to the needs.. some are like trying to get everyone across.. get somethings across or like resuce missions.. kinda tiring.. somemore we had to like walk quite far between each mission.. this took 2 days too. but ths camp its not as worse ( in the terms of weather mayb) as that of field camp. :)
i dunno.. but i cant recall much of the programs liao.. basically physical training ba.. those AGR-Ability Good Run.. 30,60 which is sprint 30 secs.. n brisk walk 60 secs in intervals.. etc..
oh.. im in drill squad n training were pretty tuff n its like extra workload laid on us besides normal trainings.. but well.. i learnt how to spin rifles n do abit of fancy drills.. hmm.. still basic drills were crucial n basically i like to do them smartly n proudly. :)
but ahh.. due to quite a few cockups by others .. not me k.. then i think we lost quite a few marks during the competition.. we got 3rd out of like 8 or 9 companys.. not bad la.. but we were so close to Ninja who got 2nd.. we lost to them by 0.2 marks?? think so.. well first was Mohawk.. well they had quite fancy drills wif spin rifles too.. n then they got this gal.. the only gal in BMT to be like de lead actress sorta thg.. do individual show .. sth lidat la.. haha.. the first 2 coys got to perform on POP day lor... haiz.. too bad we got 3rd.. but lucky cos .. no more trainings.. haha..
oh.. we got like "sports day" too.. as in some races go on.. some quite fun.. like tug of war.. quite nice to watch.. yea.. but i didnt participate.. n then we got recruits night too.some performances by some of them from the different comapnys.. n we got some SAF drama n dance thg to perform too.. quite nice la.. n we went jumping around in de music.. the "principal" or OC said it was de first JC batch to be so crazy.. n wild.. lol.. hehe
ok.. den finally got 24km road march n POP parade.
24 km road march.. well.. as u can tell.. tiring.. n scary.. but actually.. no.. we were quite used to walking long distances by then.. we persevered n walked n completed it.. we had like dinner outside n even had night snacks.. we left bout 3 pm in de aftn.. den we reached bout 1plus am back.. haha.. walked for so long.. not bad la.. quitesong.. tho everyone were wet.. jus in case wat is de standard thgs to carry while walk.. we had our SBOs.. de lotsa pockets thg that comes wif a netting sorta thg.. then we had our green colour field packs filled totally wif stuffs like clothes.. mess tins.. our bashas( tent materials) etc.. yea.. until is full.. n so heavy.. n we had to carry our gun wif sling.. n we were wearing full no.4 uni.. which is de green colour camo shirt n pants in boots.. yea.. total i think bout 10 kg load on us ba.. should b around there?? i dunno.. yea.. we stop n put down thgs every 4km.. n drank n rest abit every 2km.. this way we continueed for de whole 24km.. actually not as tiring as i tot.. we sang n cheered.. almost all de songs came out.. we sang chi n eng pop songs.. n u noe.. i sang alot of them.. haha.. n then even got malay songs.. jus in case our serageants say we racist. hehe.. we eneded on a high note.. as we came back n wake those sch1 ppl up wif .. Orion 2 Orion2.. we are the best.. we are de champions.. we will always be the one.. etc.. everyone came back wet n tired.. n sleepy.. but each of them carried a smile full of accomplishment.
POP got alot of rehearsals.. n that explains why we were so tanned.. quite sian.. n really test our endurance a bit.. as we were so numb not moving down there for so long in de sun.. we sweat like hell jus standing there. n then our hands a bit suan n tired cos carry de gun so long.. ahh.. but we endured cos v soon we passed out!
yippee.. now its like a week since i passed out from bmtc.. it is fun.. definitely.. quite memorable.. will remember how we wake up at 5.00 am everyday.. n eating cup noodles at nite.. haha. we played n worked n trained together. this is sth that u dun hav in schools. so kinda rox.
i wouldnt go down to individual toking bout my platoon mates n section mates n bed buddies.. cos theres simply too much to say.. but yes.. they each got their own character n altho we know each other for like 2 mths onli.. but i can say.. we definitely will continue to be some best friends..
posting will be out on 17th.. n i got guard duty on that day. kinda suay n sian sia.. will i b gg back tekong after that guard duty?? hmm.. dunno.. good luck to me! n others as well :)

results got back liao.. wasnt good.. but will share onli after a few days later.. yes.. after i POP.. which is on mar 7th.. sorry... my parents gg.. so cant bring other ppl along.. haha.. n oh my darling is on cruise.. haiz :( cant b together on our anniversary.. :(
read emails.. n some old ones.. n then got onto friendster cos got invites.. see through some ppls pictures.. hmm.. still wish to go back in time.. n i wun b so pathetic now.. :( sorry.. i noe its not my fault.. but probably thgs could have been better..
regarding training.. i shed like 4-5 kg.. now onli 58.. haha.. n oh..did my 24km march too.. BMTC is fun.. haha.. shall tell u more when i POP.
